Why bother with Networking?

Why bother going to a Networking event when we can invest that time in more productive actions for our business? Why bother signing up, taking the time to go there, meeting new people, listening to others in our industry talk about their problems, or even worse, listening to people in other industries talk about their problems?
Because it can become one of the most beneficial steps we can take for our business.
Think about it, going to any Networking event opens up your mind to new ideas and new experiences. You might meet someone who can share a solution to one of the challenges you are facing right now in your business. What about people who talk about other industries than mine? Perhaps you can take those experiences and apply them to your line of business. There’s always something to learn at these Networking events, and surely you can pick up something of value to your business. It’s almost like a continuing education in business. And finally, we can all benefit from a little human interaction every once in a while. After all, businesses are made out of people, and these events provide an excellent opportunity for us to engage with them and learn more about them. This is how we can build and strengthen relationships.
This is how I learned what I know about photography. I studied it too, but to be honest, it was from going to my local photo club meetup in Toronto that I learned the most. There we met and shared experiences (good and bad), locations for shooting, new ideas, tips, and so much more that just by listening, you couldn’t help but get better at it, and feel excited to go and try what you just heard. If you go to a Networking event with this mindset, you too will come out feeling this way.
There are tons of Networking events happening on any given week, so take a moment to search for them and find the ones that interest you. Sign up and make sure you clear your schedule so that nothing gets in the way of you going.

Tortalmente de acuerdo , La jornada aportó muchas cosas nuevas a la productividad de cada uno a la hora de mejorar el tiempo y el mensaje de cada reunión de networking . Espero poder seguir aprendiendo y que siga siendo útil y beneficioso invertir una mañana en un evento como este en vez de encerrarte en la ofi como todos los dias .
