Happy Thanksgiving!

This must be one of my favorite holidays, one that I look forward to every year for a number of reasons. From foolishly riding my bicycle for over 6 hours to my friend’s grandma’s cottage one year – I timed it perfectly, I go there as the dark meat was being served! – to being the host of it in a country where it’s not celebrated – Turkey and Paella complemented each other well in Spain – I remember every single one as if it was just yesterday that I was sitting at each table, passing the turkey, the gravy and the cranberry around.
But out of all the reasons why I love Thanksgiving, the biggest one is seeing people taking the time to express gratitude towards someone or something that they are thankful for in their lives. I only wish Thanksgiving happened more often.
